ORF to GIF
Turn photos into an animated GIF, or convert one image to GIF.
- Add images by dropping, choosing or pasting them.
- Adjust the options — everything previews on your device.
- Run, compare before and after, then download or share.
Converting ORF to GIF
Drop a ORF file and it is decoded in your browser, then re-encoded as GIF with the quality and background you choose. Transparency is preserved when the target format supports it and flattened onto a colour when it does not. Camera orientation is applied so the result is never sideways, and EXIF data is dropped, which protects your location and shrinks the file. Batches of up to 50 files convert together and download as a ZIP, with no upload, no queue and no account.
Who needs this
People sharing iPhone or Android photos with systems that only accept GIF, web developers moving to modern formats, designers exchanging assets, and anyone who needs ORF files to open on another device.
GIF Maker
Add several images and they become frames of an animated GIF in the order shown; drag the cards to reorder them. Set how long each frame stays on screen, whether it loops forever, and the width. Frames of different sizes are fitted inside the first one on a background colour you choose. Add a single image to get a static GIF. Everything is encoded on your device.

Frequently asked questions
Does converting ORF to GIF reduce quality?
Converting into a lossless format keeps every pixel. Converting into a lossy one re-encodes at the quality you set; 92 percent is visually identical for photos and still far smaller than the original.
Why would I want GIF instead of ORF?
Compatibility and size. GIF opens where ORF may not, and modern formats can be much smaller for the same look. The compare slider shows both side by side.
Is transparency kept?
Yes when GIF supports it (PNG, WebP, AVIF, ICO). JPG and BMP do not, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you pick.
Can I convert many ORF files at once?
Yes. Add up to 50 files, run once, and download them as a ZIP. Each file is converted in a background worker so the page stays responsive.
How do I change the order of the frames?
Drag the image cards, or use the arrow buttons on each card. The GIF follows the order shown.
Why does my GIF look grainier than the photos?
GIF stores at most 256 colours per frame, so smooth gradients get a little banding. A smaller width keeps the file light; for full colour, use a short video or WebP instead.
Can I make a GIF that plays only once?
Yes. Turn off Loop forever and the animation stops on the last frame.
