Frequently asked questions
What metadata is removed?
EXIF (camera, lens, date, GPS), IPTC, XMP and comments. The colour profile is kept so colours do not shift.
Does removing metadata recompress my photo?
No. For JPG and PNG the tool deletes the metadata segments only, so the pixels stay byte-identical.
Can I just view the metadata?
Yes. Details appear on the card as soon as you add a file, including GPS coordinates if present.
