Photo to cartoon
Turn photos into pencil sketches, cartoons, oil paintings, halftone, pixel art or ASCII art.
- Add images by dropping, choosing or pasting them.
- Adjust the options — everything previews on your device.
- Run, compare before and after, then download or share.
Photo effects
Give a photo an artistic look without an app or an upload: a pencil or colour sketch, a flat-colour cartoon with ink outlines, an oil painting, halftone dots, pixel art with a reduced palette, or ASCII art you can copy as text. Every effect previews live, and you can apply it to a whole batch.
How it works
- Add one photo or many.
- Pick an effect and adjust it while the preview updates.
- Apply it and download the results, or the ZIP for a batch.
Frequently asked questions
How does the photo to sketch effect work?
The photo is turned grey, then divided by a blurred, inverted copy of itself (a colour dodge). Flat areas go white and edges stay dark, which looks like pencil strokes. Strength sets how dark and fine the lines are.
Can I copy the ASCII art as text?
Yes. Choose ASCII art and you get two files: a picture of the characters and a plain-text version you can copy or download. Characters per line sets the level of detail.
Is my photo sent to an AI service?
No. All effects are classic image-processing filters that run in your browser, so they are instant and work offline. Nothing is uploaded.
