Making a PDF under 1 MB
Portals that accept PDF scans usually cap them at 1 MB, and a PDF built from phone photos is often ten times that. This preset places your images on pages and then compresses them as a set until the whole document fits under 1 MB, keeping text legible as long as possible by reducing quality before dimensions. Choose A4 or Letter pages, portrait or landscape, margins, and the order of pages; everything is assembled in your browser.

Will the text in my scan stay readable under 1 MB?
For one to three pages, yes at typical limits. The compressor lowers image quality first and only shrinks pages when necessary; check the preview for small print before uploading.
Can I combine several photos into one PDF under 1 MB?
Yes. Add them in order, each becomes a page, and the size limit applies to the finished document, not to each page.
Why is my result slightly over 1 MB?
PDF structure adds a few kilobytes beyond the images. The tool targets the document size, so this is rare; if it happens, lower the limit a little and run again.
Does the PDF contain searchable text?
No. Pages are images, as with any scan. The document is exactly what you see, which is what upload portals expect.
How do I keep the PDF under a size limit?
