Remove text from image
Brush over objects, people or text and remove them from a photo with on-device AI.
Magic eraser
Paint over what should go, such as a stranger in the background, a power line, a date stamp or a caption, and MI-GAN, an open-source inpainting model, fills the area from its surroundings. Only the brushed part changes; the rest of the photo keeps its original pixels. Repeat as often as you like, undo any step, and download the result. Everything runs in your browser.
How it works
- Add a photo.
- Brush over what you want to remove, then press Erase.
- Repeat or undo as needed, then download.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get the cleanest result?
Brush a little beyond the edges of the object, including its shadow, and remove large things in a few smaller passes. Plain or repeating backgrounds such as sky, grass, walls and sand give the best fills.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The model (about 27 MB) downloads once to your browser and runs there. Your photo stays on your device.
Can I remove a watermark from someone else's image?
Please don't: watermarks protect the owner's rights. Use the eraser on your own photos, for example to remove date stamps, clutter or people who walked into the shot.
